Chicago performance artist Joseph Ravens seeks an artist to participate in a site-specific performance that will be part of a festival of ephemeral public art June 6 & 7 at the Hahamongna Watershed Park, Pasadena, CA. Wearing a sculptural costume, the performer will simply improvise while moving along a trail in the park. Simultaneously haunting and whimsical, the minimalist imagery stems from feelings of powerlessness regarding the destruction of the environment. Not deliberately activistic, this work sets out to capture and present a particular feeling or emotion, rather than convince the viewer to change or take action. Transportation to and from the location, food, and a small stipend will be provided. Please contact Joseph at 773.485.6284 or joseph@josephravens.com
KATTYWAMPUS will be seen only a few more times as part of Collaboraction’s Sketchbook Festival at the Building Stage in Chicago.
